Why we built this.
We started this brand because we kept being unable to find what we were looking for — clothing that was genuinely well-made, priced honestly, and sold by people who cared as much about the object as the customer did.
Every piece we carry is chosen because it met a standard we set before we started the business: it has to be something we would buy for ourselves. That sounds obvious. It isn’t. It means saying no to a lot of things that would sell, and yes to things that take more explaining — but that last longer, fit better, and don’t end up in landfill.

We work directly with a small number of independent makers and heritage mills. We don’t use dropshipping. We don’t inflate margins with a hundred middlemen. We carry what we believe in, we describe it honestly, and we stand behind it.

Material integrity
Every fibre is traceable. We only carry what we understand fully — where it came from, how it was made, and why it lasts. Natural materials, honestly finished.
Radical transparency
Cost of goods, country of manufacture, return on each item — we publish what others keep private. You should know exactly what you’re paying for.
Considered curation
We don’t carry everything. We carry the right things. A smaller catalogue of objects we stand behind completely is worth infinitely more than a vast one we don’t know.
